Elizabeth acknowledges her cousin as "The mother of my Lord". And Elizabeth's Lord is our Lord... Jesus Christ... The second person of the Trinity... GOD.

"But wait a minute" you protest, "Elizabeth was speaking only about Jesus the man and not about Jesus the Christ, the Word of God incarnate, Emmanuel, the God who took on flesh and died for our sins!" You put forth this protest because you are fundamentally Protestant, and in your protest you deny one of the basic universal truths of all Christiantiy.

Elizabeth did not ask "And how is it that the mother of my second cousin should come to me?" Elizabeth did not ask "And how is it that the mother of Jesus should come to me?" No, Elizabeth did not understand how it was that the mother of her Lord should come to her but she she undersood this much; the mother of her Lord, the Ark of the New Covenant, had just come to her.
